（１）不許可からの再申請の場合や転職後の在留資格更新許可申請については追加料金があります。
（２）在留資格の申請は必ず許可が出るわけではありません。当事務所にご依頼いただいて不許可が出た場合、追加料金なしで諦めずに再申請にトライします（ただし1年以内の再申請に限ります）。

仮に自分で申請を行って、不許可になってしまった場合・・・

「不許可からの再申請」の状態で行政書士に依頼すると、追加料金が発生する場合がほとんどです。
これは「不許可からの再申請」の場合は準備する書類の難易度や所要時間が大幅にアップするためです。
結局行政書士に依頼することになれば、初回の申請のために使った時間に加えて、行政書士への報酬（通常料金）、更に「不許可からの再申請」のプラスアルファの料金が必要になってしまいます。

例えば学生さんであれば時給1,500円のアルバイトをしていたとして、初回の申請のために使った時間を20時間とすると、それだけで30,000円になります。
会社員であれば時給3,000円くらいになる人も多いでしょうから、倍の60,000円！
通常業務以外の時間、つまり余暇の時間に準備をしなければならないので、会社員にとってプライスレスな余暇の時間を使ってしまうことに・・・。
私も長い間会社員だったので、余暇の時間の大切さについては十分に承知しています。

「再申請になるくらいだったら、最初からプロの行政書士に頼んでしまった方がいい」ということです。

在留期間更新申請／Application for Renewal of Status of Residence

在留期間更新申請は在留期間満了日の3か月前から申請することができます。
在留期間満了日までに更新申請を行って受理されれば、許可が出るまで又は在留期間満了日から2か月間のいずれか早いタイミングまで、今まで持っている在留資格で日本に在留することができます。
しかし、在留期間満了日後に書類不備により不受理又は不許可申請となってしまった場合は、在留期間満了日以降は不法な在留となってしまいますので、早めの申請を行うことをお勧めします。
なるべく早いタイミングで申請を行うことによって、不測の事態にも対応できる可能性が広がります。
「技術・人文知識・国際業務」や「技能」で在留されている方で、転職された場合の更新申請は通常の更新申請と比べて申請の難易度が上がります。
これは新しい職場や仕事が今の在留資格に適合しているかを、入管で改めて審査するためです（ほとんど新規の場合と変わらない審査になると考えてください）。

An application for extension of the period of stay can be filed three months prior to the expiration date of the period of stay. If the application for renewal is filed and accepted before the expiration date, the applicant can stay in Japan with the status of residence he/she already has until permission is granted or until two months from the expiration date, whichever comes first.
However, if the application is not accepted or is denied due to incomplete documentation after the expiration date, you will be illegally residing in Japan after the expiration date, so we recommend that you file your application as soon as possible. By filing an application as early as possible, you will have a greater chance of dealing with unforeseen circumstances. For those who are in “Technical/Humanities/International Services” or “Technical” status and have changed jobs, it is more difficult to apply for a renewal than for a regular renewal. This is because the Immigration Bureau will reexamine your application to determine whether your new workplace or job is compatible with your current status of residence (the examination process is almost the same as for a new application).

在留資格変更申請／Application for Change of Status of Residence

「留学」の在留ビザで日本国内の学校へ留学している学生さんが、日本国内で就職する場合は在留資格の変更申請が必要です。
「技術・人文知識・国際業務」などの在留ビザで企業勤めをしている方が、一念発起して起業する場合なども在留資格変更申請が必要です。
これは元々の在留資格で認められている活動（「留学」であれば教育を受ける活動、「技術・人文知識・国際業務」であればホワイトカラー的な就労）ではない活動を行う場合に必要な申請です。
また、日本人と結婚した場合に「日本人の配偶者等」の在留ビザへ変更する場合や、長年にわたり日本にお住まいの方は「永住」の在留ビザ取得をご検討されているかもしれません。
「技人国」でお勤めの方で、高度人材ポイント表で高得点（70点以上）の場合は、いろいろな優遇が受けられる「高度専門職」への変更を目指すこともあると思います。
在留資格変更はほとんど新規取得（日本入国時の審査と同等の難易度です）と変わりませんし、求められる資料も多岐にわたります。
留学生の方だと日本語能力によっては、初めての変更申請に戸惑う方が多いと思います（すべて日本語での資料提出となります。外国語の資料の場合は、日本語訳をした資料を添付する必要があります）。

If you are a student studying at a school in Japan with a ” Student” visa and wish to find a job in Japan, you will need to apply for a change of status of residence. If you are working for a company with a ” Engineer, Specialist in Humanities/International Services” visa and you want to start your own business, you will also need to apply for a change of status of residence. This application is necessary if you wish to engage in activities that are not permitted under your original status of residence (educational activities for “Student” or white-collar employment for ” Engineer/Humanities/International Services”).
You may also be considering changing your visa status to ” Japanese Spouse or Child” if you are married to a Japanese national, or obtaining a “Permanent Resident” visa if you have lived in Japan for a long time. If you are working in a ” Engineer/Humanities/International Services” and have a high score (70 points or more) on the Advanced Human Resources Point Chart, you may be aiming to change your status of residence to “Highly Qualified Specialist” which offers various preferential treatment.
The acquisition of status of residence change is almost the same as a new acquisition (which is as difficult as the examination upon entry into Japan), and there are a wide variety of documents required. Many foreign students, depending on their Japanese language ability, may be confused when applying for a change of status for the first time (all documents must be submitted in Japanese. (All documents must be submitted in Japanese. If the documents are in a foreign language, a Japanese translation must be attached). 在留資格認定証明書（Certificate of Eligibility）交付申請

海外から日本へ来る際に査証（VISA）を取得して入国する流れが通常です。
日本国大使館・領事館へ査証を取得する際に、査証発給の審査をスムーズに行うため、在留資格認定証明書（CoE）を添えることになります。
在留資格認定証明書は日本国内（入管庁）での発行となりますので、事前に日本国内での手続きが必要となります。
基本的には就労系ビザであれば受入機関の方が、身分系ビザ（日本人と結婚した配偶者の方など）は日本国内にいる親族（配偶者など）が手続きを行うことが多いと思います。
在留資格認定証明書が発行されれば、日本への入国を予定している外国人の方へ在留資格認定証明書を送付します。
在留資格認定証明書は査証発給時、実際の入国時に提示します。
ただし、在留資格認定証明書があれば絶対に査証発給される又は入国できるというものではないこともあらかじめ理解しておくことが必要です（在留資格認定証明書は査証審査時と入国審査時の「手助けになるもの」と考えておきましょう）。

When coming to Japan from overseas, the usual procedure is to obtain a visa to enter the country. When applying for a visa at a Japanese embassy or consulate, a certificate of status of residence must be attached to the application in order to facilitate the screening process for visa issuance. The Certificate of Eligibility is issued in Japan (by the Immigration Bureau), so you will need to go through the procedures in Japan beforehand. Basically, the host institution will handle the procedures for a work visa, and for a status visa (for a Japanese spouse married to a Japanese national, etc.), a relative (spouse, etc.) in Japan will handle the procedures.
Once the Certificate of Eligibility is issued, the Certificate of Eligibility is sent to the foreign national who is planning to enter Japan. The Certificate of Eligibility is presented at the time of visa issuance and actual entry into Japan. However, it is important to understand in advance that the Certificate of Eligibility does not guarantee that a visa will be issued or that you will be able to enter Japan (the Certificate of Eligibility is only a “help” during the visa and immigration screening process).
